Track time-restricted eating and its effect on your sleep
Eat within a 10-hour window, fast at least 14 hours overnight and finish eating 3 hours before sleep, and see how meal timing lines up with your sleep and HRV.
Time-restricted eating means eating within a daily window and leaving a gap before sleep. AumniVIDA scores only the timing; what you eat is measured by any other protocol you follow, such as Mediterranean or high-protein.
The targets
AumniVIDA scores these from your logged meals and measurements, and shows the evidence grade for each protocol.
Timing
- Eating window: at most 10 h
- Overnight fast: at least 14 h
- Last meal: at least 3 h before sleep
How AumniVIDA follows it with your data
- Measure your window from your meals. AumniVIDA measures the window from your first to your last confirmed meal or caloric drink. A late snack counts toward the evening it belongs to.
- Count only logged days. Days without logged meals are left out, never counted as fasts.
- Connect timing to sleep. With Apple Health or Oura connected, see whether later meals line up with lower sleep scores or overnight HRV.
- Set your late-eating window. The protocol sets the engine's late-eating window to 3 hours before sleep.

The evidence
The protocol cites two randomized trials. Liu and colleagues (New England Journal of Medicine, 2022) found time-restricted eating added no weight loss beyond calorie restriction. The TREAT trial (JAMA Internal Medicine, 2020) found modest effects. AumniVIDA presents the pattern honestly, as a way to structure eating.

Before you start
Fasting is unsuitable during pregnancy, with a history of eating disorders, or with glucose-lowering medication. Talk to your clinician first. AumniVIDA explains your data for general wellness; diagnosis and treatment decisions stay with you and your clinician.
