Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 7, 2026
This policy explains how AumniVIDA collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the AumniVIDA iOS app, website, and related services (the “Service”). AumniVIDA is built around medical and health information, so we treat that content as sensitive by default.
Who operates the Service:the operating legal entity for AumniVIDA has not been finalized. Once it is, this policy will be updated to name the entity and its contact address. Until then, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the team that operates AumniVIDA, which you can reach at the address in the Contact section.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, profile image, account identifiers, and authentication details handled through Clerk.
- Profile details you choose to add: date of birth, sex assigned at birth, gender, city and country, a short bio, and unit preferences. These are optional and used to interpret health content in context.
- Health and medical content: photos and scans of medical documents, lab reports, and clinical notes; voice recordings about symptoms, visits, and results; text notes; and structured records such as observations, lab values, vitals, and activities that you enter or approve.
- Optional location: when you grant permission and choose to attach a location to a record, the app reads your device location so you can label where a visit, test, or activity happened. Location is never attached automatically.
- App activity and diagnostics: information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, such as feature interactions, request status, device and app version, crash data, performance traces, and technical logs.
- Waitlist and support communications: the name, email address, and any details you send when you join the waitlist, request beta access, or contact us for help.
Camera, microphone, and location access are used only when you choose the related feature and grant permission through iOS. You can withdraw any of these permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
How we use information
- Authenticate you and maintain your account.
- Read, transcribe, and interpret the documents, recordings, and notes you submit, present an editable result, and save only the record you approve.
- Build and display your health timeline, records, and related summaries.
- Answer questions you ask about your own records inside the app.
- Synchronize your records across your devices and, when you choose, generate a share link.
- Maintain security, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- Respond to waitlist and support requests and send essential service communications.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not use your health content for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Where your data is stored
The app connects to a regional backend. Your account and health records are stored in the region associated with your account, currently either the European Union or the United States. Some service providers, such as authentication and diagnostics, may process limited information in other countries under applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
Service providers and sharing
We share information only as needed to provide and protect the Service, comply with law, or complete something you asked for.
- Authentication: Clerk processes account and sign-in information.
- Hosting and databases: our backend runs on cloud infrastructure and stores account and health records in an isolated application database.
- File storage: uploaded documents, images, and audio are stored in S3-compatible object storage operated by our cloud provider.
- AI, extraction, and transcription: contracted model and transcription providers process only the document, image, audio, or text needed to perform the feature you requested. Content sent for processing is not used by us to train general-purpose models.
- Diagnostics: Sentry processes limited device, app, crash, and performance information so we can detect and resolve errors. Screenshots and view hierarchies are disabled, personally identifying defaults are turned off, and diagnostic messages are filtered before they are sent.
- Website analytics: PostHog processes website interactions and technical information so we can understand whether product and support pages work as intended. This applies to the website, not to your health records.
- Sharing you initiate: if you create a share link, the records you selected become available to anyone holding that link until you revoke it.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and health information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete individual records where the app provides that control, and you can delete your account from Settings. Account deletion starts removal of your account and associated health content. Limited records may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Your choices and rights
You can review and correct extracted details before saving them, change iOS permissions in system settings, update supported profile information, revoke share links, and request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights and the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections, access controls, regional data separation, and separation between application environments. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Additional age requirements may apply where you live.
Not a medical provider
AumniVIDA helps you organize your own health information. It is not a healthcare provider, and using it does not create a provider relationship or a patient record held by a clinician. See the Terms of Service for the medical disclaimer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
